Skye Pilot Lands On The Music Hotwire
DJ Skye Pilot, otherwise known as Nestor Castillo, was bit by the DJ bug early in life.
In junior high school, he started DJ-ing during lunch periods, using a stereo in the principal's office and the school's PA system. He continued DJ-ing during his time on a military ship.
Skye took a break from his passion to concentrate on his family, to which he says "I wouldn't trade those years for anything!"
After more than seven years away from the mic, Skye was milling around a Yahoo chatroom and was invited to be an internet DJ. "You have a great voice for radio." And so, the journey continuted. That night, Skye found himself back in the DJ Chair and has never looked back.
He's DJ-ed for a few online stations, and has even owned his own. But, he said he's glad to be here on The Music Hotwire and the Vault of Metal, where the professionalism is superb and the staff can't be beat.
Over the years, Skye has interviewed more than 125 top name artists, ranging from Queensrÿche to any Rat Pak record artist, as well as countless independent bands.
