Vinny Appice Scheduled for Surgery
According to his website, Vinny Appice is due to have surgery on his right shoulder on Monday 11-30-09. He suffered a shoulder injury during the last Heaven And Hell tour.
"You can't face the audience and hit drums directly behind you night after night at an extreme volume," Vinny said, referring to his monstrous drums kit that surrounded him. The surgeon expects Vinny to be back on the drums in about 5 months.
