Negativity

Negativism.  It's always been there, it's as American as apple pie, the Eagle, or Chevrolet.  But lately it's been magnified.  Blame it on the media, I suppose.  It thrives on negativity.  That's what most people like to see. Call it the train wreck effect.  It's helped the National Enquirer type print evolve into TMZ.com.

But when is enough negativity enough?  It's all around us, in fact, you can argue it's consuming us. High fuel prices, increasing taxes, global warming, blah, blah.  In fact, while high fuel prices are real.  There's evidence that global warming is just more man-made negativity whose main goal is just to blame.

I've heard family arguments, civil arguments, and other of society's plagues lately and most of it is just blame placing.  No real discussion on how to fix problems, just assign blame and go on.  Major negativity.  It's becoming our way of life.  No need to fix it, just find out whose fault it is!

We've got to get back to what made America great!  Problem solving, not blame placing.  We've got to be innovative and proactive not reactive and all bitchy and whining.  Blame it on talk radio or whatever you want-- better off just quit blaming.  Just fix it!  The opportunities are there!  If you are tired of your dead end job, take a class!  If you are tired of your druggie spouse, make them get help or leave!  C'mon this is America!  We are leaders not big assed crybabies!  Lose the negativitism and the reasons to turn to drugs.  If you wanna drink - fine!  But put on some AC/DC and party, don't turn on Merle Haggard and cry in your beer.  Don't wait on Jesus to save you. He may, but be your own personal savior!  Whatever you do - just quit whining!
